Head to Palm Springs this winter for an affordable weekend of sun and relaxation in the desert.

I’ve tracked down several properties that offer a good value for your weekend getaway, each with reasonable prices and/or a little something extra to make your stay memorable.

The Casa Cody Bed and Breakfast Inn offers rates ranging from $99 to $599 per night. There are 23 rooms and two villas; some accommodations have fireplaces and private patios. All guests receive a full breakfast each day. The inn also has a heated pool, open year-round. The Desert Riviera resort charges rates from $149 to $179 per night, including complimentary limousine service for airport pickup/drop-off and evening excursions; a welcome snack basket; sodas and bottled water; use of single and tandem bikes; daily newspapers; use of the DVD, game, and book lending library; fresh fruit; and 24-hour coffee service. The hotel also has a heated pool, an outdoor gas grill, and fire pit available to guests. A two-night minimum is required. The Old Ranch Inn offers eight pool-side suites with kitchenettes and private patio retreats; some have fireplaces. Rates range from $169 to $219 per night. The inn has a heated swimming pool and a DVD/VHS library. Guests can also request complimentary airport transportation, or there is on-site parking for drivers.
