London

Posted in Travel Deals by on the April 9th, 2008

Typically known as an expensive destination, London vacations are more affordable during spring. By comparing several providers’ offerings for six-night vacations, I found rates starting at $747.

Sample prices are:

Expedia offers packages starting at $809 from Chicago, $799 from Los Angeles, and $747 from New York.Travelocity has packages starting at $869 from Chicago, $893 from Los Angeles, and $806 from New York.Orbitz’ packages start at $934 from Chicago, $950 from Los Angeles, and $970 from New York.Air France Holidays’ London offers start at $1,169 from Chicago, $1,199 from Los Angeles, and $1,019 from New York. Packages also include a river cruise, daily breakfast, hotel taxes, and airline fuel surcharges. These prices are valid through May 15. Other dates and prices are also available.

Packages include airfare and accommodations. The listed rates are per person based on double occupancy. Single travelers may pay a supplementary charge for each package. Availability is limited. With the exception of Air France Holidays, which only includes hotel taxes and airline fuel charges, packages also include additional taxes and fees for airfare and hotel.

All prices, dates, and booking details listed here were valid at the time of publication. Some information may have changed since that time.

It’s always a good idea to compare costs before making a reservation, and you can use our price-comparison tool to search multiple travel providers.

Which deal offers the best value?

For May vacations, Expedia has the lowest rates from all departure cities. Note that the hotel classes may vary between providers, however.

Please note that many providers do not list booking deadlines, and not all packages may be available for the travel dates you want. Be flexible with your travel dates to find the best deal for your London vacation.
