LTU is offering sale fares for flights between New York and several cities in Germany. Fares start at $398 round-trip, and destinations include Munich, Berlin, and Hamburg.

US Airways beat LTU’s fares for four of the five routes I checked. The only exception was the Hamburg route, on which Air Canada, Alitalia, American, Austrian, British Airways, Continental, Emirates, KLM, Lufthansa, Northwest, Swiss, and United had lower fares. Before you book, shop around to ensure you get the best deal on your route.

Travel is valid from November 1 through March 31, 2008.

The maximum stay is 30 days.
