Carnival’s first-ever cruise departed in March 1972 and to commemorate this event, the cruise line is holding a special March sale. Each week of the month, the cruise line will offer a different weekly sale including free upgrades, shipboard credit, and extra savings. Guests who book cruises will be entered into a drawing to win a cruise for two in the Owner’s Suite of the Carnival Inspiration or Carnival Imagination or a Fuji digital camera.

The deal

On the first four Saturdays in March (March 1, 8, 15, and 22), Carnival will reveal a new deal valid for one week only. When we checked, the current offer included:

March 8 to 14: Save up to $300 on a family cruise when you add third or fourth guests to your cabin on select spring and summer sailings. Fares start from $349 per person for inside cabins.
