Great Wolf Lodge, a chain of water park and family amusement resorts, is offering discounted grand opening rates at its newest location in Grapevine, Texas (just outside Dallas/Ft. Worth). This promotion provides reduced room rates from $199 per night for family suites, including admission to the resort’s in-house water park.

I checked the grand opening rates against room rates for the busy summer travel season, and found that by traveling in winter and spring you’ll be able to save. Grand opening rates start at $199 per night, whereas the same family suites in June and July cost $299 per night.

While I was able to find the $199 rate for a few weekends in early January, that price is mainly available for weekday stays. However, the more readily available weekend rate of $249 still offers savings against peak-season pricing.
