Northwest is offering a holiday sale on select routes for travel through January 7. You may be able to get a better deal elsewhere, however.

I found other airlines beat Northwest’s sale prices on almost every route I checked, and sometimes Northwest’s own non-sale rates were also a better deal. As such, you should compare fares before making a reservation.

The deal

Travel is valid from November 27 through January 7, 2008.

Most fares require a three-day minimum stay.

A seven-day advance purchase is required.

Book by December 20, 11:59 PM ET.
