JetBlue
JetBlue is introducing service to Los Angeles’ LAX airport this spring, and is expanding its existing service from Long Beach, Burbank, and San Diego. Fares start at $39 one-way or $78 round-trip for travel in May and June.
JetBlue’s introductory sale fares were among the best available for four of the seven routes I checked: Burbank/Las Vegas, Long Beach/Austin, Long Beach/San Jose, and San Diego/Seattle. US Airways matched JetBlue’s Long Beach/Austin fare.
AirTran beat both Los Angeles routes I compared, while US Airways beat the Los Angeles/Boston and Washington, D.C./Burbank fares. American also topped JetBlue for travel on the latter route. Though JetBlue’s fares are competitive for some of these routes, you’ll have to compare fares to ensure you get the best deal for your travels.
The deal
Travel is valid from May 21 through June 14.
The sale fares are available for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Fares require up to a 21-day advance purchase.
Long Beach/Austin service begins on May 1.
Book by February 22, 11:59 PM ET.
