American is offering sale fares to ski destinations around the U.S. Fares start at $256 round-trip, and destinations include Vail, Jackson Hole, and Steamboat Springs.

American’s sale fares were the best available for four of the seven routes I checked. I found lower prices from American itself for the Boston/Steamboat Springs, New York/Gunnison, and Washington/Jackson Hole routes. United also had better fares for the Boston and New York routes, and Northwest matched American’s lower Boston fare as well. You’ll likely find a competitive fare from American, but be sure you compare fares before you book to be certain you’re getting a good deal.
