Cruising has certainly become very popular over the last few years. It's useful to start your search on consolidator's site as you can see which cruise lines operate on which routes and compare prices. Once you've found the best price you can always try approaching the cruise line and ask if they can beat the consolidator's price. There has been some criticism recently about overcrowding of some popular cruise destinations. You may want to bear this in mind when selecting an itinerary. I've never been on a cruise, have you?
