Summer and fall flights from New York to Europe are on sale from Delta. Fares start at $858 round-trip, and cities include London, Paris, Rome, and Bucharest.

Delta’s deal is worth considering, particularly for travel to destinations in Eastern Europe such as Bucharest or Romania. Note that Delta’s recently announced fee for a second checked bag does not apply to flights to Europe so you can still check two bags free of charge. A third bag, however, costs $150.


The deal

Travel to most destinations is valid Mondays through Thursday. Travel to London is valid Mondays through Wednesdays. Book tickets at least seven days in advance, with the exception of Milan and Rome, which have no advanced purchase requirements. A Saturday-night stay is required, and the maximum stay is 30 days.

Departures to Amsterdam are valid from June 30 through July 31, and travel must be completed by August 30.

Departures to Bucharest are valid from June 30 through August 31, and travel must be completed by September 30.

Departures to London are valid from June 30 through September 1, and travel must be completed by October 1.

Departures to Milan and Rome are valid from July 14 through August 24, and travel must be completed by September 24.

Departures to Moscow are valid from June 30 through September 4, and travel must be completed by October 4.

Departures to Paris are valid from June 30 through August 14, and travel must be completed by September 14.
