Hawaiian has announced a new sale featuring flights to Maui and Oahu from the West Coast. Fares start at $530 round-trip for travel through mid-August.

Hawaiian will likely offer a good deal for travel on the routes and dates in this sale, but you won’t find it listed here. The airline beat its own fares for five of the six routes I compared, while Northwest offered a better deal for travel between San Francisco and Honolulu. Shop around before you book to ensure you get a competitive price for your travels.

For the best chance of locating these prices, be sure to check the “find lower fare +/- 3 days” box and the “search by price” button on the search box located on the homepage.

Fourth of July Minneapolis flights are on sale from AirTran. Fares start at $89 one-way or $178 round-trip, and cities include New York, Washington, D.C, and Dallas.

This is a competitive deal overall—AirTran’s fares were the best available for four of the five routes I compared. The only exception was for travel between Minneapolis and Dallas, where American and Northwest beat AirTran’s sale fare by about $20. Even so, it’s always a good idea to do a quick fare comparison before booking to ensure you get the best price for your flight.
