Domestic flights through mid-November are on sale from Midwest. Fares start at $158 round-trip, and cities include Atlanta, Las Vegas, New York, and Toronto.

Midwest’s best deals, among the routes I checked, were for travel on the Omaha/New York and Omaha/Toronto routes, though United and Northwest matched the former. But, Midwest itself, plus AirTran, American, Northwest, United, and US Airways, beat the sale prices for the remaining routes, so you should shop around before booking to ensure you find the best price for your route.

United’s new domestic sale includes fares starting at $74 round-trip. Cities include Boston, Las Vegas, San Antonio, and Washington, D.C.

The sale fares were the best available for five of the six routes I compared, although American and US Airways offered similar prices for many of the routes included in this deal. United itself, and American and US Airways topped the sale price for travel between Chicago and Pittsburgh. Overall, this is a good deal but you should still compare fares before booking to ensure you get the best price for your travels.

Flights between Denver and the West Coast are on sale from Southwest. Fares start at $69 one-way or $138 round-trip for travel through late October.

Southwest’s sale prices were the best available for every route I checked, but other airlines, including Alaska, American, Frontier, Northwest, and US Airways, matched the sale prices for most of those routes. This is a solid deal but it’s always a good idea to compare fares before you book.

SAS is offering spring sale fares to Europe starting at $924 round-trip. Destinations include Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Warsaw.

Since SAS does not list a booking deadline for this offer, it could disappear at any time. If you plan to book one of the fares included in this sale, you should do so soon or risk missing out if the deal ends. Before booking, it’s a good idea to compare fares to ensure you get the best price for your itinerary.
