United is offering U.S. and Canada sale fares starting at $84 round-trip. Cities include Chicago, Las Vegas, Kahului, and Vancouver.

United’s sale prices aren’t great. The best deals I found were for travel on the San Francisco/Las Vegas and Los Angeles/Vancouver routes, though Alaska, Delta, and US Airways matched the latter. AirTran, Midwest, and US Airways beat United’s Boston/Denver fare, and US Airways also offered a better price for travel between Newark and Chicago. Frontier had a lower Washington, D.C./San Francisco fare, and Northwest topped United’s price for the Indianapolis/Kahului route. Shop around before you book to ensure you get the best price for your itinerary.
