Hyatt posts deals on its website for properties the world over. More are added all the time, but here are a few of the best ones.

The dealsSenior citizens can save up to 50 percent off the regular rates at many Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada. You must be 62 or older to qualify. Rooms must be booked in advance and a maximum of one room per reservation can be booked at the senior rate. Through February 29, 2008, AAA members can request 10 percent off and free breakfast for up to two adults. More than 115 hotels in the U.S., Canada, and Caribbean are participating in this promotion. Be sure to request rate code “BREAKF” when making your reservation and present your AAA card when checking in.American Express card members can get a free 50-minute spa treatment at participating hotels worldwide. Whether it’s a few days on the beach, a weekend of nightclubbing, or a chance to sample fine restaurants and shop at glitzy boutiques, Miami offers possibilities for both relaxed and on-the-town vacationers. To help get you there cheaper, I compared several providers’ offerings for February, testing departures from Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. All vacations include round-trip airfare and three nights’ accommodations. Except for the Southwest Vacations and JetBlue packages, sample vacations include all additional taxes and fees (Southwest and JetBlue include hotel taxes).

Through Sunday, Frontier is offering domestic and Latin America sale fares from $98 round-trip. Destinations include Chicago, Denver, Cancun, and San Jose.

Frontier’s domestic fares were among the best available, though AirTran, American, Midwest, Northwest, United, and US Airways came close to the sale prices. The Latin America fares I compared were beaten, however. US Airways beat all three routes, Frontier itself had a lower Denver/San Jose fare, and Delta offered a better Indianapolis/Cancun price.

Visit Wisconsin’s Lake Country for less with a stay at the Inn at Pine Terrace in Oconomowoc (southeast Wisconsin). Reserve a Friday- or Saturday-night stay and add on Thursday or Sunday for $75. Room rates range from $119 to $179 per night and include a two-course breakfast.

If you can add an extra night to your weekend, this package offers a good value. Naturally, the highest-room class (e.g., most expensive room) gets you the best deal with this promotion, with savings of 58 percent. However, you’re still saving 37 percent with even the cheapest room.

Packages including lodging in a two-room suite, complimentary snacks and drinks every evening, daily breakfast, and your choice of Tiffany’s classic T-clip rollerball pen, diamond textured purse pen, or sterling silver bead earrings. Advertised rates start at $189, but I found prices from $209 for weekends in January.

Fitzgerald’s Irish Bed & Breakfast in Painesville, Ohio (30 minutes outside of Cleveland in the Great Lakes Region), has a Deluxe Package including two nights’ lodging, a welcome basket with snacks and bottle of sparkling wine or grape juice, chocolates, fresh flowers, and a $50 dinner gift certificate and free dessert at Epiq Bistro. Rates start at $365 (or approximately $183 per night) for the Mayo or Dublin rooms, or $415 (approximately $208 per night) for the inn’s Galway or Bushmills rooms.

Flights to Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America are on sale from American, with fares starting at $137. Destinations include Aruba, London, Paris, and Cozumel. United has a similar deal for travel worldwide.

American’s best deals among the routes I checked were for the Mexico routes: Detroit/Mexico City and Washington, D.C.,/Cozumel. American itself, along with airlines including Continental, Delta, Icelandair, Mexicana, Northwest, United, and US Airways, beat the sale prices for the remaining routes. American may offer a good price for your travels, particularly if you’re flying to Mexico, but you’ll have to compare fares to be sure.
