This offer will save you money over purchasing items separately. When I priced the room, breakfast, and tickets individually, the total came to $201. With the package, you’ll save 11 percent.

American’s new U.S. and Canada sale competes with the domestic component of United’s recent worldwide sale. Prices start at $96 round-trip, and destinations include Chicago, Honolulu, New York, and Toronto.

American’s best deals among the routes I checked were for the Boston/Washington and Chicago/Louisville routes, though United had competing fares for both and Continental and JetBlue had similar prices for the former. The other fares were beaten by American itself, ATA, Frontier, Northwest, and US Airways. Overall, this deal is spotty, so shop around before you book.

Other airlines, including Air France, American, British Airways, Continental, Delta, KLM, Northwest, United, US Airways, and bmi itself, beat the sale prices for all the routes I checked. You’ll likely find lower fares than these, so compare fares before you book.
