Spirit is offering 35 percent off flights to Kingston and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
This offer is a nice perk for anyone planning a trip to Jamaica. Spirit generally has some of the best deals for travel to the Caribbean, but you should still compare its fares (including the 35 percent discount) with those from other airlines to ensure you get the best possbile deal.

New York City can be as expensive, or as cheap, as you like it. It came as no surprise that when I checked several providers to see what offerings are available for winter, I found quite a range of prices and hotel classes. Departures from Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles were tested, and packages include airfare and two nights’ accommodations. Packages also include additional taxes and fees for airfare and accommodations.

American’s latest domestic deal competes with a similar offer from Southwest. Fares start at $128 round-trip, and cities include Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, and St. Louis.
American’s sale fares were among the best available for five of the seven routes I compared, but Southwest, Northwest, United, and US Airways all had matching prices. Frontier beat American’s price for travel between Dallas and Chicago, while Northwest had a better New Orleans/San Antonio fare. This sale is worth a look, but compare fares with American’s competitors before you book.

American has matched many of the routes in AirTran’s recent sale, with fares from $88 round-trip. Cities include Atlanta, Miami, and New Orleans.
American’s best deals among the routes I checked were for travel between Boston and Atlanta and between Chicago and Minneapolis, though the latter was matched. AirTran and Northwest had lower prices for the San Francisco/Pittsburgh route, while AirTran and US Airways offered better prices for the Dallas/Charleston and Baltimore/Miami routes. Continental beat American’s prices for the Los Angeles/Ft. Lauderdale and New York/New Orleans routes. Since American has plenty of competition, compare fares from AirTran and other airlines before booking.
