February flights to Hawaii are on sale from Aloha. Fares start at $129 one-way or $258 round-trip, and destinations include Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island.

Aloha’s fares were the best available for five out of the six routes I checked. Hawaiian beat Aloha’s price for travel between San Diego and Honolulu, so while this sale is solid, compare fares before you book.

Frontier’s new deal features Denver, Florida, and Mexico. Fares start at $178 round-trip for travel through early March.

Frontier’s sale fares were the best available for four of the six routes I compared, though US Airways matched its Denver/Puerto Vallarta route, and Northwest and US Airways both came within a dollar or so of Frontier’s other prices. Northwest beat Frontier’s Denver/Orlando fare, while US Airways had a lower Denver/Cozumel price.

The open-skies agreement has allowed many more airlines to add service at London’s Heathrow airport. US Airways begins its nonstop service between Philadelphia and London in late March, and is offering sale fares from $408 round-trip to promote the new route.

I found lower prices for the routes I checked over a wide date range, from US Airways itself and competitors including Aer Lingus, Air India, Air France, Air New Zealand, American, bmi, British Airways, Continental, Delta, Icelandair, KLM, Northwest, and Virgin Atlantic. Since you’ll find more competition among airlines for travel to London in 2008, be sure you do a thorough fare comparison before booking.
