Virgin Atlantic is offering London sale fares for travel in January, February, and March. Fares start at $322 round-trip.

Other airlines, including Air France, American, British Airways, Continental, Delta, Icelandair, KLM, Lufthansa, Northwest, United, and US Airways, beat the sale prices for the six routes I checked over a wide date range. Shop around before you book to ensure you get a good deal on your route.

Believe it or not, $300 a night is a low price for a luxury Windstar cruise—especially on popular Mediterranean sailings. You can find rates from $1,799 for six-night cruises and $2,399 for seven-night cruises on Windstar’s Europe itineraries this spring.

Flights to Prague, Pisa, and Bucharest are on sale from Delta. Fares start at $498 for winter travel.

Delta itself, along with Air France, Alitalia, American, KLM, and Northwest, beat the sale prices for travel to Bucharest and Prague. Alitalia and Lufthansa both beat Delta’s price for travel between New York and Pisa. Delta may have some decent prices for winter travel on these routes, but you’ll have to compare its regular fares with those from other carriers to be sure.

Flights to Zurich are on sale from US Airways. Fares start at $402 round-trip, and departures are available from San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Washington, D.C.

Though US Airways offered some of the lowest prices available for most of the routes I checked, those fares weren’t always listed in this deal. Air France, Continental, Delta, KLM, Lufthansa, and Northwest beat US Airways’ price for Charlotte departures. for Before you book, compare US Airways’ every day prices with fares from other airlines to ensure you find the best deal for your route.
