Tabacon Hot Springs
Tabacon Hot Springs in Costa Rica is home to biological geothermal springs, the reason why this place is one of the top places to consider when visiting Costa Rica. Why? The water from the Tabacon River is heated by the Arenal Volcano then flows to the physical pools of the Tabacon Hot Springs. Unusual plants are present in the vicinity adding up to the unadulterated charm atmosphere. Near the entrance of the river is a heated waterfall where you can sit and enjoy the soothing sensation as the water touches your body.

Through Monday, Spirit is offering sale fares from $58 round-trip. Destinations include Orlando, Las Vegas, Detroit, and Kingston.
Spirit’s fares were the best available for four of the six routes I checked. American beat its Detroit/Las Vegas fare by $2, and AirTran and Spirit itself offered lower prices for travel between Atlanta and Orlando. Though Spirit’s sale fares are likely to be some of the best available, be sure to compare before you book.

I compared several providers’ offerings for vacations in winter to San Diego. Packages include airfare, four nights’ accommodations and hotel taxes. With the exception of the Southwest deals, sample vacations include additional taxes and fees for airfare.
Sample prices for mid-January are:

Flights to Honolulu are on sale from Hawaiian. Fares start at $248 round-trip for travel through mid-March.
Hawaiian’s best deals were for Sacramento, San Diego, and Seattle departures. ATA beat Hawaiian’s prices for departures from Los Angeles and Phoenix, and Continental also had a lower Los Angeles fare. Overall, Hawaiian’s fares are competitive, but you should still compare fares before you book.

ATA is offering a new sale with fares starting at $69 one-way or $138 round-trip. Destinations include Chicago, New York, Honolulu, and Cancun.
ATA’s sale fares were the best available for nearly every route I checked. The only exception was for travel between Dallas and Guadalajara, where I found lower prices from both ATA itself and from Frontier. This sale will likely have some of the best prices around for most routes, but you should still compare fares before you book.

United’s new China offer features Beijing and Shanghai. Fares start at $758 round-trip for travel through early December.
Northwest beat United’s sale fares for the majority of the routes I checked, including Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., departures. Continental topped United for the Boston, Washington, and New York routes, and American had a lower Boston fare, too. United itself offered better fares for Boston and Washington departures, while the best Chicago fare I found was on Asiana.

A luxury cruise may seem to be out of your price range, but don’t dismiss Regent Seven Seas until you’ve checked out its special offers. Cruise fares are high, but free airfare, free third and fourth guest fares, and cruise credits of up to $3,000 can help you get the most value from your vacation purchase.
