Through Sunday, Spirit is offering domestic and Caribbean sale fares from $58 round-trip. Destinations include Las Vegas, Cancun, and Freeport.

Spirit’s fares were the best available for four of the six routes I checked. The only exceptions were the Detroit/Las Vegas and New York/Detroit routes. Continental, Frontier, Northwest, United, and US Airways beat the former route, while American had a better price for the latter. Overall, Spirit has competitive prices, but you should still compare fares before you book.
