Virgin
Virgin Airlines has been operating low cost flights in Europe and Australia for years. Recently, the airline finally operated their first American flights, after receiving permission to operate in this country as Virgin America, and while there aren’t many destinations so far – just five – one of them is Las Vegas.

So I arrive at work on a Tuesday afternoon after a hectic weekend, where Billy’s opened on a rare Sunday afternoon to host a Red bull function which featured an awesome South African duo called Goldfish, to the news that i was going diving with sharks the following Saturday! What, where and how??? Apparently there was an incentive for us waitresses… whoever sold the most Vodka Red bulls would win a shark dive… oh cool!

If you’re a regular reader of this site, you may notice things looks a bit different around here. Over this last weekend, BootsnAll decided to spruce us up with a new layout.
There are still a few things that need to be added, but we are now resuming our daily posting schedule here. The Vegas Calendar will also be back this Friday, along with a new once a week look at community events happening around town.

Europe- the land of fabulous shoes, clothes, food, coffee and wine. The scenery is gorgeous and it is always fun to consider the ancient civilizations that have just continued to build on top of one another. Very interesting.

Late fall and winter flights from New York to Europe are on sale from Delta. Fares start at $338 round-trip, and destinations include Athens, Barcelona, London, and Paris.
Alitalia beat Delta’s fares for the Athens and Barcelona routes, while Icelandair had better prices for travel to Frankfurt and London. Swiss topped Delta for the Budapest route, and US Airways had a lower Paris fare. In your search, you’ll probably find better prices than these, so be sure to shop around before you book.

American’s latest offer competes with a similar deal from Southwest. Fares start at $98 round-trip, and destinations include Las Vegas, Denver, and Washington, D.C.
The best deals I found were for the Baltimore/New Orleans and Chicago/Indianapolis routes, though Southwest has the same price for the former, while Northwest and United matched American’s fare for the latter. Other airlines, including Continental, Frontier, Northwest, Southwest, United, US Airways, and American itself, beat the sale fares for the remaining routes. American may have a competitive fare for your route, but you’ll have to compare fares with several carriers to be sure.

You can often find low rates and extra value by purchasing your cruise through an online travel agent or discounter. I asked a few online retailers for their best deals and then did a little comparison shopping of my own. The result is some of the best cruise pricing on the Web.
The deals
Here are some of the top deals from several online cruise agents. All sailings take place in 2007 and 2008.
