Typically known as an expensive destination, London vacations are more affordable during fall. By comparing several providers’ offerings for multi-night vacations, I found rates starting at $701 for seven nights.

Once you come to the wonderful Tobago Island, you must make it a point to visit Little Tobago Island that is situated at the very eastern end of Tobago and which lies close to Speyside that is a bird sanctuary which at present is uninhabited and where there are many trails for you to try out. There are also spectacular scenic wonders to view especially when you look seaward in the direction that Red Footed Boobies and also Frigate birds take and which are found in considerable numbers. There are many boats with glass bottoms that will ferry you across to this island while giving you a wonderful look at the wondrous coral reefs as you pass over them and also while circling the small Goat Island that is situated in Tyrell’s Bay.

In a few weeks, the phase II Beijing Olympics 2008 ticketing will begin. Unlike the first phase wherein tickets were given to lucky applicants and lottery winners, the second phase will be on a “First Come, First Served” basis. Those who are interested have three ways to book your ticket: book it online, contact the BOCOG Call Center (952008) or book through designated Bank of China outlets. You have 48 hours to make the payment, otherwise the computer will automatically cancel the order. Unfortunately, the above booking process is only possible for residents of the Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macao and Chinese Taipei. Non-residents are urged to contact their regional Olympic committee for inquiries on further ticketing information. The second phase will be from mid October 2007 until January 2008. Tickets will be delivered in May 2008. Once you have successfully booked, paid and received confirmation for your ticket, I suggest that you immediately start looking for accommodation and flight options. After all, there will be millions of other travelers who will be doing the same. For more tourist info on the host cities, check these: Beijing, Shenyang and Qinhuangdao.

That’s not me on the surfboard. No, I have been quite diligent here, working away on the book. Still, there has been time to stroll around the place and get a sense of Biarritz.

Good news in terms of the Dingle Peninsula Food and Wine Festival (12th - 14th October, 2007) - it looks as if we have Kevin Sheridan coming down to do a tutored cheese and wine tasting.
