When you are visiting Somerset and more particularly Taunton there is a lot to see and do including Hestercombe Gardens, and Hinton St. George. LTU is offering sale fares for flights between New York and several cities in Germany. Fares start at $398 round-trip, and destinations include Munich, Berlin, and Hamburg.

US Airways beat LTU’s fares for four of the five routes I checked. Before you book, shop around to ensure you get the best deal on your route.

Australian Traveller’s Top 100 things to do in Australia lists “Stay in a Country Pub” as one of the items. Well, if you would like to tick that one off your personal list, this place rocks!

A visit to Costa Calida may not be quite the same as visiting the better known Costa Brava, but it is still one of the better places to visit in Spain. So, if you do decide to visit Costa Calida makes sure to check out Aguilas F.C. Museum that is a must for every soccer enthusiast, and there is also an ethnic museum of miniatures known as Angel Reinon, while over in Lorca there is the Archaeological Museum where you can find displays of finds from prehistoric times.

Sorry to put two slide shows back to back, but Mercier Press wanted a more colourful photo for the book cover than the ones I sent them previously (see here). I have to say that I think that vanilla could be the new black, and with a bit of melting action nothing more is needed, but I have to defer to professionals! Anyway, the above slide shows are the fruits of a photo session this afternoon, and I shot four cones together to add a bit of colour. I’d love to know what you, my valued readers, think!
